Like nasty!

Okay so I have been trying to be good with the Nutri System thing but their food is like NASTY!!! Well their cereals are good. I really like the Frosted Mini wheats one and the chex like one they have. But who the hell eats beans in their lasagne. I have tried their muffins...NASTY! Their chocolate cake...NASTY! and of course the Chicken...NASTY! I'm trying...oh and I just tried the pretzels...NASTY! It tastes like unflavored dough that is super hard. YUCK! So I think that I will just eat the breakfasts and the few others that I can stand to eat and put the rest back on EBAY. What a waste. I paid over $300 for this stuff and they all said it was yummy...LIARS!!! BIG SKINNY LIARS!!!

Anyways. I have lost a few more pounds. So I started at 203 (EEK! Scary huh!) and now I am 191. STOKAGE! I can't wait to be under 190 again...its been awhile. I can't wait to be anywhere under that too! I have enjoyed my walks. I even threw up once because of the first time meal I ate from NS. NASTY!!!

Our computer has been tweaking so much lately. I had to go buy a battery today and so I am hoping that fixes it again. The battery guy thought it might be the internal battery and I was SOO excited to hear I might have to get yet ANOTHER part for this dang thing. I can't believe how much I use this thing. I hated not being able to use it. It would just shut down in the middle of me doing something. That made me SOOO mad.

I'm totally digging the word NASTY today...lol. I bet you can tell by the title of the blog but it is a funny word isn't it. N-A-S-T-Y! LOL! Okay I am just lame right now. I am just happy this thing is working.

Gabriel has been enjoying the school thing. He comes off that bus totally stoked about his day. He keeps asking to go out for lunch too...funny kid I have...thinks money grows on trees. It just keeps disappearing on me for chrimeny sakes. Here and there my card seems to be getting used up. They love me at Target...oh and the sports stores I have been traveling to to get Gabriel's stuff for soccer. He had his first practice last monday and I still hadn't gotten him shorts to play in...he was wearing sweats and his shin guards seemed to have shrank. I felt so bad. So I got him some new guards, socks, and shorts for him. He is happy now...yay for me.

Updates!

So I haven't posted in over a month so I thought I would update you guys on the goings on in the Barrett-Contreras house.

Gabriel started Kindergarten yesterday but doesn't go back til Monday. He really adores his new teacher. He loved riding the bus even if it is the thing that worries me most. I followed the bus to school and I think they are so prepared with older kids to help the younger ones. Teachers and parents too. But it was still sad to see my little man become a student. Granted he has been going to daycare since he was 6 weeks but Kindergarten is such a big step. I waited to cry till I was in my car...It was very emotional for me. But his teacher seems to have it all under control...and if she doesn't I will have to kick some ass. j/k

Diego has started walking by himself. He took about 9 steps yesterday before falling down. And has since started walking more. He gets so excited with it that he stops and plops down. It is so cute. I was shocked when I first saw him do it. But everytime I try to get the camera phone he stops and plops. I wanna send it to my mom. She is so excited. So was I!

Dieting is going well for me for the time being. I keep cheating though because I still crave chocolate. I am sure I would have lost more if I hadn't cheated but that's okay. I have lost 9 lbs so far...yay for me. I get my NutriSystem stuff today via UPS so we will see how that goes. I have been walking by the river whenever there isn't something going on in the evening. I even run for a few minutes of my walks. I have been walking 3 miles when I do go by the river. I walk 1 mile in the morning along to my video "Walking away the pounds". I started working with the weights during the video...I can't believe how heavy 2 lbs feels after a few minutes of it. But I have noticed a difference in the way pants fit. I am; however, disappointed about my butt and bubbies shrinking...I liked them they way they were. Now I know I have to go buy a new set of bras. Man...its not like they are the cheapest things either.

Gabriel has his first soccer practice on Monday the 28th. And his first game is on Sept 10th at 2pm. Ya'll are more than welcome to come and watch too. I am officially a soccer mom now. I have also decided that I will be going to the PTO meetings at his school. Should give me something to do with my time.

We had to get a new washer since the free one we got broke down. But now I don't have to put a towel down in front to catch all the leaking water. Good for me bad for the wallet. But the dryer still works just fine so we didn't need a new one of them. I haven't yet used the new washer...I should start a few loads today...if I decide to get anything done today.

1. I was named after a song my mom heard in the elevator while in labor which calmed her down and when the nurse came to ask what she wanted to name me she was singing it.

2. After I was taken home from the hospital, I died twice.

3. I don't remember much prior to 3rd grade.

4. I grew up on both coasts of the US. (New London, CT and Oxnard, CA)

5. The scar on my left cheek is from a dog bite when I was 3ish.

6. The scar on my right jawbone is from a laser burn to get a tick out that embedded itself...not the excuse I used growing up.

7. I got 2nd place in a beauty pageant as a child...I sang "If you think I'm sexy" lol.

8. My mom is my best friend.

9. I believe in love at first sight.

10. I knew I was gonna be with Julian from the first moment I saw him. (he just thought I talked too much)

11. I have learned something different from each relationship I was in.

12. I have had 2 loves in my life...and 1 great lust.

13. As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian...come to find out I suck at science.

14. As a teen and adult I want to be a fashion designer...come to find out I can't draw or sew.

15. I didn't meet my father til I was 19.
