Working...

So I am sitting here at work. Waiting for the rest of the computer systems to be loaded so I can start taking calls of my own. I really like this new job. The people here are super friendly and I am not stressing like I was before at the other job. I have been training since Weds and everyone has welcomed me in. Its nice.

I am working through a temp agency for Buckeye Community Health Plan. Its downtown so of course I have gotten lost trying to get home. I really do hate the one way streets sometimes. The lady that is training me reminds me of my mom so I enjoy sitting with her. I look at her and think of my mom and a big cheeser comes to my face.

I am getting kinda bummed about my lack of sales with my TS. I have been doing a few open houses/holiday bazaar things but haven't had any sales from that. Its rather depressing actually. I love what I do with it but people really wanna take the things home that day instead of having it shipped. I try to explain how the service works and that it is better to have it direct shipped. Oh well...I am gonna try some more. I did get a few sales from here at work already. I brought in the C and BB Salsa and everyone liked it. We are having a Thanksgiving potluck tomorrow and I am making the Nana's Apple Cake and I had leftover Almond Pound Cake so I am bringing that in too. Hopefully I will get a few more orders once they taste it.

I'm really getting excited about going to CA next month. I am a little bummed however that I can't go shopping like I used to. I kinda sat home yesterday a little depressed that I couldn't go shopping on Friday. The busiest shopping day for me. Oh well. Julian said he would give me some money soon to shop for the boys. I just need to catch up on some bills first before I can spend on gifts. Still trying to find a steady babysitter for Diego. I called a few places that were sent to me from Action for Children but a lot of the home daycare places I couldn't understand them. There was a language barrier and right now is an important time for Diego to hear words and I don't want him to get confused. And the few day care centers I called had waiting lists for the 1 year olds. I am gonna call one back today to be put on the waiting list and hopefully get in there. It is cheaper than the daycare I have Gabriel in but I really would prefer the same for both boys. Its like double driving.

That's about all for today I guess. Nothing exciting going on with me yet. Jennifer

Just Great!

So my recent run in with a job has sucked. Ya'll know that NewPros was just wrong for me but wait til I tell you they are dumbasses! Again I know that is redundant but let me tell you why. I called last Thurs to see if they were gonna mail me out a check or direct deposit because if they were gonna mail it out I offered to just pick it up. But just got a voicemail. Well I didn't get it direct deposited so I figured they would be mailing it so I called Fri to see if I could pick it up. The secretary said they mailed it out Thurs and when I checked the mail I was excited to see it came. Well it said it had been direct deposited to my account. I checked my acct again and it didn't post so I called the bank to see if they saw a pending deposit and she said no. So I did the run around thing between NewPros and the bank each saying it was the others fault. I did this thing with them Monday as well. So Monday night after 530 I got a call from the secretary at NP who said that it was their fault and that the routing number they used was inputted incorrectly. So all this time I am harrassing my bank and NP and each passing the buck off to the other and to find out it was NP fault. GRR!!! So yesterday I called and said I would just pick up the check they were gonna cut for me. I think they did that shit on purpose. Don't hate me cuz I quit but hate yourself for the mistakes you made.

So anyways. I had a playdate yesterday with my friend Tracey and her daughter Olivia. Everything was great and then I got a call from Office Team (my temp agency) and they told me that the job I was supposed to be starting monday fell through. I had told them about my vacation and they said it was fine at first now they say they don't think they can be without a person for that period of time. So now I have no job to start on monday and that is just GREAT!

And she told me that she still hasn't been able to get ahold of my previous boss at Verizon and he hasn't returned her calls. That pisses me off to no end too because I told him they would be calling him and he said fine. So I had to call and leave a message for him to call her back so I can get a job because without his confirmation of my working there they can't send me to anyone. GREAT! The only thing that kept me sane yesterday was that she said she had another job opening with a call center for a medical group of some sort and that they paid $12 an hour ($2 more than the other job) but again my vacation may hinder it. I can't cancel as it is non refundable nor is it worth it to cancel since they won't pay for the charges so I don't win either way. Except for the fact I get to see my family. In the meantime though I am crap broke. The check I just got is going to my car payment and the babysitters that watched Diego.

I do have 2 TS events this weekend and am hoping that they bring in some money. I am using some of the money I owe to others to get food as we are almost out of that. Don't feel sorry for me or anything it is just hard. And Julian is doing his best to pay everything else but it is hard on him too. I mean he has to get gas to go back and forth and I don't wanna really drive anywhere since I can't really afford gas either. He had to pay all the rent again and he has his own car pymt and ins as I have to pay too. UGH! It just isn't what I wanted to be happening. I am doing without a lot of things but dang it sucks!

Okay I have to get going now. Need to go to the store. Just thought I would fill you guys in on my recent adventures. LOL! Jennifer

Thanksgiving?

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?

This is one of those times that I am really gonna miss my family. We always got together at my mom's house to have dinner. Only it was always around lunch time that everything was ready. It was one of the few times my family got together without arguing. It was Thanksgiving and Christmas that did that for us.

When my grandma was around she would sit on the edge of the couch as she always did and tell us stories of how we were as kids. A lot of it I think she made up because I didn't remember any of what she was saying. But it was still funny to listen to. My mom would put the turkey in mad early in the morning and just keep basting it throughout the day. She would never let us in the kitchen because she knew that we would be sampling whatever she was making at the time. She made her own rolls and I would try to sneak peeks while they were rising but mom would swat my hands.

As I grew older and my grandma past away, I got to help my mom. I would peel the potatoes for the mashed potatoes. Smash the sweet potatoes for the candied yams...love crunchy marshmallows on top...lol. I would always get grossed out when mom would boil the neck and stuff from the turkey and not sure what she used it for the stuffing or the gravy...eww. But it was always good just gross to think about.

The guys would go out in the garage and watch whatever football game was on at the time and the girls would sit in the living room and watch the kids run around and just chat. It was nice chatting. As you guys know my sister and I don't always see eye to eye but it was one moment I enjoyed. We would crack on each other and it knew it wasn't gonna lead to a big confrontation. Just the though brings a smile to my face.

I never made any of the helpings for the dinner but I always made the pies to take to Julian's parents house. They would always ask for like 3 pies since the family always went to their house for dessert. They were easy pies to make so I loved it because then they would always ask for more. I loved making the chocolate double layer one...chocolate rocks. But this year they don't have anyone to make their pies. The night before Thanksgiving I would be running around my kitchen trying to make like 5 pies. It was fun for me because I felt needed for a few minutes. And then I would make cookies or something too. I love baking and such so it was fun work. Gabriel would just want to eat the dough...and the chocolate chips. And the last year my brother would ask for a piece of pie. Thus the reason I made 5. 3 for Julian's family, 1 for mine and 1 for my brother...lol.

Not sure what we have planned for this year. I know whatever we do I am having sweet potato something...lol. I love turkey too but don't know how to make it. I might go buy one of those butterball turkeys that self baste or something...can you imagine the leftovers...the boys and I only eat the white meat and Julian can have the dark...lol. Sounds good to me.

I quit!

I know I was all excited about my new job and all but when I got promoted to a new manager, I couldn't take it anymore. That guy was such an ass. He sent me home twice. First saying I wasn't focused (he said I looked like I was daydreaming and staring out the window) and the second time because I didn't have the energy (he said I looked tired. HELLO!!! I HAVE 2 KIDS I ALWAYS LOOK TIRED!). Its because I didn't have make up on that day. Okay...if you know me at all, you know I have always had too much energy never no energy. WTH was he talking about. So anyways that friday I quit. He had told me that day that I was not to use the restroom except on breaks and lunches and that pushed me over the edge. I was basically being harrassed and so I decided it wasn't worth the stressing out...I let quite a few sales go that day just to spite. And because I knew I was quitting before I went in I was just waiting for a reason to do so. I had my letter of resignation already with me so I just put it on my manager's desk and walked out. Actually another girl quit too so I took her home.

I was actually okay with it being that I already had another job lined up and so I was gonna quit anyways. I would have liked to stay a little longer to ensure some money coming in for the 2 weeks I am not working but I couldn't handle the stress I was going through. Anyways my new job is through a temp agency and it is with Zurich Services Corp. I will be doing data entry for medical billing. Shouldn't be too hard since I love to type and like the sound of the keyboard under my fingertips. Okay that sounds lame but you know what I mean. I start that on the 13th so wish me luck with a better boss. And it is supposed to be lasting til at least the end of Jan early Feb. And then it is a temp to hire if they like me. But how can you not like me...okay don't answer that...lol.

I have been staying busy even at home. I am planning for a Craft Fair for Saturday at a church on the east side. It will be fun since it is my first one and I will have 2 of my buddies there with me. Rebekah and Sheri will each have a booth there so I won't be alone. And since they have been doing their things longer than I have I will just ask any questions I have to them. I also have a TS/PC party next Sunday and then the 18th have another TS/PC party at Sheri's for the OSU vs Michigan game. I'm hoping for a good turn out.

Yesterday was Halloween and it was fun. I went to Gabriel's school and helped with their party. I manned the bean bag toss game and got to meet Gabriel's girlfriends. That's right he has 2. And they are both blond and at least 3 inches taller. He definately doesn't have a Tom Cruise issue. And since it was funky weather I only took Gabriel trick or treating. We went to Rebekah's neighborhood since there are not kids in our condos I didn't think anyone would participate. Gabriel made out with a bunch of candy.

I'm exhausted so I will be getting to bed now. Talk to ya'll later. Jennifer
